Murphy Construction has extensive experience with custom log and timber in a variety of styles for a variety of applications. Specialties include Heavy post and beam log porches and entries; Complete truss, purloin and post roof and rafter systems; Accent logs for facades and pavilions.

Real wood custom ceilings warm up a space, and contribute to a room’s overall look and style. Classic A-line angles keep it rustic. Accent beams offer both form and function. A classic entry truss system can add dramatic entry appeal. Many wood species, finishes and hardware options are available, depending on client preference and desired look.

CARPENTRY

Murphy Construction excels at all aspects of carpentry from large wood framing projects to artistic structures requiring both technical and creative precision.

A wooden house frame is the initial skeletal structure of a house. The frame assumes the proper shape and establishes the correct dimensions so that the wall and roof coverings can be attached to the frame later during construction. The frame includes the outer walls, the roof, and all of the rooms, doorways and window frames of the home.

We build residential house frames, erect commercial building frames, and install subfloors into homes and buildings. We study and execute blueprint diagrams to ensure that structures are built properly and erected in the proper location, sawing all wood parts to the proper sizes, and nailing or fastening wooden materials together for maximum strength and stability. Our expertise in this area includes designing and building wooden molds to pour concrete to ideal measurements, optimal design and correct concrete capacity for both structural stability, and for interior/exterior structures such as countertops, sinks, benches, patios and driveways.
